Our client in Grapevine, TX is looking for a Systems Engineer on a direct hire basis.
Systems Engineer – Exchange, Servers, and Virtualization
Overview:
As a managed services provider, our client delivers a suite of premium managed and hosted services. Their hosted offerings are provided via their HyperStack IaaS platform, which includes hosted Microsoft Exchange, managed virtualization (cloud), and VDI. They are seeking a qualified individual to fill a dynamic and growing role within their organization. The person they are seeking has strong skill-sets in Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory and other Microsoft platforms. The candidate will ideally also have experience in server platforms and virtualization (including VDI).
Responsibilities:
Engineering & Support – Design, build and support Exchange email, Active Directory, servers and other systems supporting the hosting platform
Customer migrations – Migrate customers onto our hosting platform, including Exchange, servers (e.g., p2v, v2v, etc.), VDI on-boarding, and other systems supporting the hosting platform
On-call Support – Responsible as a primary resource for any issues with mail, servers and systems supporting the hosting platform
Customer calls – Technical liaison for customer calls to gather requirements, describe products, engineer solutions
Skills/Experience:
Required
Microsoft Exchange – engineering, deployment, troubleshooting, management and administration
Microsoft Exchange – migrations (from older Exchange and other platforms, e.g., Notes, Groupwise, etc.)
Microsoft Active Directory – engineering, deployment, troubleshooting, management and administration (specifically to support Exchange and Exchange migrations)
Email services (for Exchange, including 3rd party) – Encryption, archiving, e-discovery, anti-spam, anti-virus/malware, etc.
Highly Desirable
Virtualization – Vmware suite, including ESXi, vSphere, vCenter,VDI – Vmware, Citrix, etc.
Storage infrastructure (Dell compellent, FCoE, NFS, etc.)
Network infrastructure (Cisco)
Cisco UCS
