Our Brookshire, TX client is seeking a Test Engineer.

Summary:

Responsible for the activities associated with testing pumps and systems at the client’s test facilities.  Ensures that equipment tests are conducted in accordance with customer requirements and Engineering and Manufacturing policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

– Test and report on pump tests conducted.

Create and provide performance test curves and data for customers and internal test records.

Issue instructions to the shop for pump rework.

Analyze and troubleshoot test non-conformances.

Provide job-specific test layouts and procedures to the shop.

Adheres to company and department policies, procedures, and standards.

Supports, cooperates with, and participates in company-wide EHS Management System which includes following all safety, health and environmental policies and procedures.

Supports and cooperates in company-wide Quality Management effort.

Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering (BSME) or equivalent work experience required.

Minimum of two (2) years of testing experience and manufacturing experience with a pump manufacturing company preferred.

Must be able to fluently speak, read and write in English language.  Must have good computer skills and be proficient in word processing, spread sheets, data base applications, AutoCAD or similar programs.

Must be able to write and perform data input.

Must be capable of providing “hands on” help with installations and trouble shooting.

Considerable independent action required.  Responsible for maintaining Engineering integrity of assigned product lines.

Requires understanding of centrifugal pump performance, hydraulics, computers, various test instrumentation including pressure, flow, temperature and vibration.  Requires good mechanical and analytical problem-solving ability.

Requires good interpersonal communication skills necessary to interact effectively with hourly workers, customer representatives, and co-workers.  Must interface closely with Assembly, Production Control and Manufacturing.

Contact and interaction with Company personnel at all levels, requiring tact and discretion.

Must possess a valid driver’s license.
