Our NW Houston, TX client is seeking a Transportation Dispatcher on a Temp to Possible Hire basis.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the transportation industry (preferably household and commercial moving), is highly organized with the ability to multi-task, bilingual in Spanish, with a strong customer service approach to their work. This is a stable company that is continuing to grow and needs to add to their team.
Primary Duties:
Coordinate activity between sales, drivers, and other agencies
Post and Plan all jobs on day book
Review all jobs for proper manpower, equipment, and crews
Setup crews and call in lineup
Assign all crew members on work orders and complete job packet with required forms
Dispatch Crews
Review specifics of job, assigned requirements, proper forms, and safety precautions with scheduled crews
Communicate with production crews throughout the day
Equipment Control and Care
Handle telephone traffic for Operations
Documents Review upon completion
Department spending with Operations Management authorization
Work with Operations Manager & Claims Manager
Requirements:
3+ years experience in a similar role
Transportation industry experience
Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred
Understand cost vs. revenue when processing new orders
Strong organization and multi-tasking skills
Excellent Customer Service
