Frontline Source Group – temporary staffing and direct hire firm – is looking for a UI Developer for our Mansfield, TX client on a direct hire basis.
DESCRIPTION
The UI Web is responsible for creating leading edge, user-centered solutions for Mouser’s website, including the design of web applications, mobile applications, content pages, and electronic marketing materials. This is a highly collaborative role in which the designer will work closely with other Designers, Business Analysts, Project Managers, Developers and business Stakeholders.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Execute high-quality designs that effectively blend interaction design, visual design and information architecture
Experience with ecommerce sites/platforms and understanding the needs and interactions of customers within those sites
Ability to analyze and leverage customer feedback, site metrics and usability findings to tailor interfaces to meet specific needs and objectives
Strong time management skills with the ability to meet, and sometimes exceed, deadlines
Maintain up-to-date expertise in user-centered design, font-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and usability principles
Promote designs that are both technically feasible and resource economical by understanding how design impacts development
Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes and written documentation to communicate interface elements, interactions, and styling
Read, analyze and understand documents that provide information used in the course of projects (requirements, surveys, reports, etc.)
Ability to incorporate business and marketing goals while catering to the customer (present an overall experience that can meet as many goals and needs as possible for the business and the users).
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelors Degree in a related field or equivalent related work experience preferred. Two to five years of experience in positions focused on designing user interfaces for ecommerce at an associate or senior level. Portfolio of printed or electronic samples demonstrating experience is required.
SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS
Ability to work and lead cross-functionally
Knowledge of cross browser/device testing and compatibility
Experience with designing for mobile devices
Proficient at hand crafting HTML and CSS
Strong organizational skills; ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadline deliverables
Proficient with industry applications like Photoshop, Illustrator, Balsamic, Axure, Visio, and Omnigraffle
Superior verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact in a technical capacity with internal and external customers
