Frontline Source Group – temporary staffing and direct hire firm – is looking for a UI/UX Designer for our Coppell client on a temporary/contract basis.
General Job Functions:
You will work closely with executive management and a small group of software team leads responsible for designing and developing Ruby on Rails applications that work hand-in-hand with a real-time event stream processing platform to provide critical business data to our customers.
Summary of Position:
Work closely with executive management and software team leads to design and refine the user interface and user experience of our web applications
Provide the team with a source of knowledge and insight of design industry trends
Extend application to meet new functionality requirements as needed by customers and evolving business strategies
Perform user experience analysis, including interviews with key stakeholders
Rapidly incorporate design feedback from stakeholders into existing wireframes and prototypes
Provide level-of-effort and level-of-risk estimates to management for new projects and feature requests
Requirements:
Extensive visual design and user interaction experience
Knowledge of HTML5, CSS, and JS fundamentals
Demonstrated expertise with either Foundation or Bootstrap
Experience creating prototypes (both lo-fi and hi-fi) using a tool of choice
Demonstrated track record of delivering delightful interfaces and workflows
Experience creating experiences oriented around geospatial or B2B applications with large data sets
Familiarity with modern front-end technologies (we have Bootstrap, Foundation, Backbone/Marionette based products deployed)
Familiarity with Ruby on Rails
Experience with mobile application design is a plus
Experience with information dashboard design is a plus
A portfolio containing samples of most (or all) of the above
