Frontline Source Group  – temporary staffing and direct hire firm – is looking for a Workers Comp Paralegal for our Nashville, TN client on a temp to possible hire basis.

SUMMARY:
The primary duties include, but are not limited to: drafting and filing discovery and correspondence; preparing cases for hearings by organizing files, interviewing and subpoenaing witnesses, and preparing exhibits; and attending and assisting attorney with hearings & client meetings. Administrative support duties are also included.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Draft and file requests and responses TDOL.
Work with client/employer or adjuster gleaning information needed for TDOL responses, court settlements.
Correspond with client, physicians and employers about hearing dates, status of claim(s), etc.
Research claim options; research third-party actions.
Review procedures for taking case into litigation.
Interpret disability awards and medical treatment parameters.
Obtain, review, and maintain information about various legislative and administrative law changes.
Investigate claims and interview claimant co-workers and/or witnesses.
Obtain, review, and analyze claimant’s medical records.
Calculate average weekly wages and benefits.
If appropriate, coordinate arrangements for independent medical examination or independent records reviews.
Coordinate information and communications among client/employer, physician, insurance adjusters, rehabilitation specialists and expert witnesses.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Prior Workers Comp Paralegal experience required.
MUST have experience working with a document or case management software such as ProLaw
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills required.
Ability to read and write, to proof read and perform editing (e.g., punctuation,grammar, spelling) of law office correspondence.
Perform arithmetic calculations when verifying data on forms and documents;maintain records and filing systems.
Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them by setdeadlines.
Job may require more than 40 hours per week occasionally to perform the essential duties of the position.
Ability to express self effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing with a strong command of the English language so that effective working relationships are established with various levels of personnel throughout the Firm.
Must exhibit a high level of customer service and show support for the Firm’s culture and values as they relate to customer service.
Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
