Our Stafford, TX client is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team on a Temporary basis with the possibility of going full-time. The ideal candidate will have full-cycle Accounts Payable experience including 3-way matching, experience in a manufacturing or oil services environment, and some experience with QuickBooks. This is a growing company that can accommodate a flexible schedule.
Primary Duties
Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
Sort and distribute incoming mail
Process P.O. matching invoices
Prioritize invoices according to payment terms
Process check requests
Match invoices to checks, obtain all signatures for checks and distribute checks accordingly
Respond to all vendor inquiries
Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies
Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
Light data-entry for payroll services
Assist with other projects as needed
Requirements:
3+ years of Accounts Payable experience
QuickBooks software experience is required
Experience in Manufacturing or Oil Services industry is a big plus
Must have strong work ethics
Must be well organized and a self-starter
Must be able to follow standard filing procedures
Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable
Possess strong organizational and time management skills
Strong problem solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills
Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner
