Frontline Source Group – temporary staffing and direct hire firm – is looking for a Supply Chain Assistant for our SW Houston, TX client for a contract to hire opportunity.
Summary:
This position supports the Supply Chain department administratively.
Experience:
Experience ordering and distributing office supplies & breakroom supplies (coffee, utensils, etc.)
Matching invoices to receipts
Filing; general filing, creating files, boxing files for off-site storage
Assisting buyers with additional tasks
Possibly take on small purchasing responsibilities
General:
2+ years’ experience ordering and distributing office supplies & breakroom supplies (coffee, utensils, etc.)
Positive attitude; willingness to do whatever needs to be done
Flexibility in learning; aptitude to be trained on additional responsibilities
HS education or higher
Must be able to bend, stoop and lift boxes, files, etc.
Must have good people and communication skills (written & verbal); will work with a variety of individuals within our company, vendors, etc.
Very self-motivated and proactive
Must have the ability to grow and adapt to change
Must be organized and keep a clean desk; this manager likes things to be neat in his department and doesn’t like someone to have to search for 20 minutes to find something when he needs it
Prompt and dependable on a daily basis
Prepared and punctual for meetings; this manager strongly dislikes when his employees are late for meetings or any events
