Our Galleria area Houston, TX client is seeking a Financial Analyst .

Responsibilities:
The Business Analyst will be an integral member of the Commercial Team supporting the organization with preparation of key reporting documents, administration of corporate insurance policies, administration of our risk registry and providing backup support for our oil & gas marketing operations. This position will report to the Business Planning Manager and will work with virtually every operating team within company for reporting purposes.

Reporting:
Compile key financial and operating information from our business unit groups (e.g. Drilling, Engineering, Production, Exploration) and prepare Business Unit Monthly CEO Report.
Compile key financial and operating information from our business unit groups (e.g. Accounting, Engineering, Production, Exploration) and prepare Quarterly Performance Review distributed to local management, as well as our headquarters.

Insurance Administration:
Administer corporate insurance policies, including completing renewal packages, managing certificates of insurance and updating insurance agents on personnel and property changes that affect insurance policies.
Respond to inquiries and manage claims for auto insurance, workers compensation and other company policies.
Interface with our key insurance contacts in our headquarters on all insurance-related items.

Risk Registry Management:
Administer our risk registry, including inputting risks, risk controls, risk owners, risk actions, and other risk registry-related items.
Assist in the implementation of risk registry updates and ensure responsible parties are following corporate guidelines.

Marketing Backup Support:
Backup support for companies oil & gas marketing operations.
Monitor imbalances and work with operators of non-operated properties to minimize imbalances, as well as deal with critical day-to-day tasks as needed.
Understand key tasks performed by marketing personnel for periodic reporting, reconciliations and invoicing.
Production Analyst Backup Support
Input production data and distribute daily report when production analyst is out of the office.

Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree
4+ years experience in corporate reporting role in an Exploration and Production company
Proven ability to compile and summarize a wide range of information in a clear and concise manner
Advanced Microsoft Power Point skills with experience creating professional presentations; familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Fluent written and spoken English.
Experience with / understanding of corporate insurance policies, operational reporting, and oil & gas marketing is a plus.
