Our Dallas, TX client is seeking a Collections/AR Representative for a temp to hire position.

Job Description:
Responsible for collecting on past due receivables.
Provide extensive customer service assistance (internally/externally) to inquiries.
Evaluate the status of unpaid accounts and implement procedures to reduce delinquencies.
Review open Accounts Receivable (AR) with the A/R Manager on a monthly basis.
Prepare accounts for external collections.
Process daily credit card transactions.
Responsible for invoicing and statements.
Reporting
Reconciliations
Special projects as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
Meet performance expectations for collection efforts for assigned accounts based upon individual goals and objectives, e.g., a minimum calls per day, contact percentage, promises/calls ratio, promises kept.
Place or receive calls in priority order as established by management. Negotiate payment arrangements with clients to cure delinquency, evaluating ability and willingness to pay.
Determine cause of delinquency and best course of action to assist delinquent customer.
Document all collection efforts for each assigned account which may include using stop and hold status, in the collection system.
Communicate collection efforts to sales reps on assigned accounts.
Process new potential customer credit applications.
Communicate regularly with collections manager on status of problem accounts.
Ensure that appropriate letters are sent to debtors.
Required Skills and Competencies:

Good time management/organizational skills
Ability to utilize Microsoft applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel.
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to work flexible schedule, including overtime as needed
