Our Katy, TX client is in need of a Contract Staff Accountant for a 3 month project.
Summary:
Seeking an accounting professional with a strong attention to detail to cover for an employee who is out on maternity leave. This is a fast paced work environment and requires someone to be able to learn processes very quickly. They deal with many systems that do not always work together perfectly, so this person will be doing heavy reconciliation and research.
Duties:
Reconciliation of business reports from many different computer systems dealing with ecommerce
Must be able to work with the IT department to resolve discrepancies in the systems
Month End close
Complex journal entries
Accruals for Fedex/shipping
Reconciliation of the postage machine
Work heavily with the companies POS system to reconcile Debit and Credit Cards.
Heavy research into discrepancies
Charge Backs
Charge Back reversals
Calculating Accruals
Requirements:
Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
3+ years of experience
Will also consider Senior level accountants
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
