Our Houston, TX client, located in the Heights area, is in need of a Customer Service Representative for a contract to possible hire opportunity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Be a receptive listener to distributor comments and complaints and record comments if necessary. Research customer concerns, provide timely feedback to customers.
Assist distributors, sales, architects and contractors with technical information.
Answer questions regarding ship dates and attempt to expedite if requested. Work with Pool Ship Manager and distributor to combine orders for maximum freight savings.
Responsible for freight claims, remake orders and back-charges. Maintain a data base of field service crews to assist distributors with fix and repair.
Maintain accurate distributor files (sales copies, special pricing information).
Maintain communications with sales people regarding distributor problems, pricing, discounts and other information pertinent to the company and distributors relationship.
Participate in estimating, shop seminars and sales functions including after hour functions.
Maintain professional level in all customer and sales personnel contacts.
This position has the responsibility and authority to perform all job related quality activities as defined in this job description and in the specific related procedures and work instructions.
This position has the authority to stop action on work until concerns are resolved and to initiate and/or participate in identifying and implementing actions to correct existing and prevent future occurrences.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
2+ years of customer service experience, preferably in construction or related field.
HS diploma
Strong customer service skills
