Our Fort Worth, TX based client is looking for a Director of Operations Services in the gas compression industry.

The Director of Operation Services is responsible for managing the Field personnel, equipment and material resources to achieve the Business Plan financial goals while delivering the highest quality service to our clients.   Functionally, this position assumes overall responsibility for Emissions, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and Shop.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Provide technical support and guidance for customer, field, or shop issues.
Provide Subject Matter Expert guidance throughout the organization for rotary screw equipment, reciprocating equipment, instrumentation and electrical (I&E), controls, and emissions.
Implement, measure, and participate in the development of regional maintenance and operating practices and intervals
Provide and supervise application support and equipment optimization for regional sales
Provide or source technical competence when requested
Support and/or perform quality audits of Field and Shop practices.
Establish and monitor standard quality requirements for overhauled, repackaged, or site-to-site moved compression assets
Manage the region emissions group performing emissions compliance testing for Exterran and customer owned equipment
Support and/or perform root cause failure analysis for equipment issues
Share best maintenance practices across the region
Must comply and support all applicable safety and environmental policies and procedures
Inventory Management
Directs inventory control initiatives including cycle count analysis, physical inventories, and returns or liquidation of surplus inventory;
Directs the efforts associated with determining obsolete inventory and the reserves for surplus inventory;
Directs the efforts associated with reducing obsolete inventory:
Directs the publication of metrics providing meaningful reporting of inventory levels, shrinkage, turns, fill rate, and compliance to internal customers;
Supports establishing inventory levels by studying supply usage patterns and forecasts; supports setting min/max points in partnership with supply chain personnel;
Manages the right sizing company inventory levels; Leads global initiatives related to optimizing total corporate inventory.
Supports the publication of key departmental metrics for inventory management with staff and management;
Supports the oversight of inventory accuracy through continued analysis, metrics and driving methodical process improvements;
Creates Procedures and Work Instructions related to Inventory Processes
Directs Projects and Initiatives for Warehousing Inventory Management Group

Engineering
Oversees and assigns Project Manager and Project Team to initialize start of project.
Directs the Project Engineering Team to adequately execute the design, procurement, fabrication, completion, start-up, and close-out.
Hold status review meetings with Project Managers to review actual versus budgeted cost, schedule, and technical issues on each project.
Coordinate with the Manager of Integrated Projects (Houston) to coordinate field management and on-site field supervision for turnkey projects.

Sets and defines overall Project Management procedures and continuous improvement processes for implementation and execution of projects both technically and financially.
Facilitate good communications between departments involved with the projects.
Forecast and plan activities both long and medium term.
Provide all updates and reports as required by Management. Report to upper management on project status and financials.
Reviews project close-out reviews with the Project Manager.
Other duties as assigned by the RVP.

Preferred Education/Experience

BS in Engineering or related field
5-10years experience in the gas compression industry
Good knowledge of field and shop maintenance practices
Strong organizational and communication skills
Strong verbal and interpersonal skills for internal and external customer relations.
Ability to define and manage by performance measurements
Ability to effectively lead and develop others
Ability to interface effectively with various levels and other areas of the organization
Effective time management skills – ability to work under deadlines to completion of tasks
Analytical ability with common sense approach to problem solving
Sound working knowledge of shop and field operations
Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks
Good working knowledge of company policies and practices and the ability to implement
