Our Dallas, TX client is seeking an Engineering Tech on a direct hire basis.
Responsibilities:
Provide multi-faceted technical support to subsurface engineering and field operations personnel including, but not limited to the following:
Input, maintain, QC, extract, manipulate, and analyze multiple data types from a variety of sources.
Assist with reservoir, well and field studies and conduct independent “data mining” as necessary.
Recognize variations, deviations, and opportunities that become evident from the data, e.g. an understanding of the inter-relationship of reservoir properties with well performance as well as the impacts of production processing and export systems is a key requirement of this position.
Possess a basic understanding of and track “data flow” through field and production accounting systems in order to ensure accurate economic analysis input and results.
Create and utilize spreadsheets and databases, screen and analyze data, generate plots, contour maps, bubble maps, and conduct “reality checks”.
Build and execute economic analyses and maintain reserves/economic analysis databases.
Provide technical support utilizing other analytical tools and software with appropriate training if required.

Qualifications:
Associate Degree and/or a minimum of 3 years of demonstrated upstream oil and gas industry experience supporting reservoir and/or production engineers in well performance/reservoir studies
Proficiency in extracting, manipulating, correcting, and analyzing data utilizing MS Access and MS Excel.
Experience with customized graphics applications such as Spotfire is a plus.
Experience with economic analysis software such as ARIES, PhdWin, etc.
Working knowledge of SEC reserves definitions and reserves management processes.
Effective team player who takes an active role in team responsibilities.
Strong time management/prioritization skills and exceptional multi-tasking capabilities.
Undertake certain types of project work minimal supervision.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
