Our Southlake, TX client is in need of a contract to hire Financial Analyst.
General Purpose of Job:
The Financial Analyst will accomplish financial reporting and forecasting for the financial department. This position will report to the Manager of Finance & Accounting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for month end close, consolidation and preparation of company financials
Maintain depreciation schedules of fixed assets
Preparation of financial reports for use by management team.
Participate in the development of annual and intermediary budgets and long term strategic plans.
Develop analytical tools that allow management to assess company’s performance, financial position, and cash flows.
Assist in development and implementation of company’s financial policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Strong analytical skills required
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred
3 – 5 years of varied Accounting or Finance experience
General knowledge of General Ledger and Preparation of Financial statements
Exposure to budgeting, financial statement analysis, and/or executive reporting is a huge plus
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Working knowledge of MS Access a plus
Experience with Great Plains Accounting Software a plus.
