Our Dallas, TX client is seeking a Geologist. Candidate will be responsible for subsurface interpretation. Duties will include production and reservoir engineering, earth science, field operations, land, facility engineering and drilling & completions functions.
Responsibilities:
Subsurface interpretation and oil and gas property evaluation
Manage geological and geophysical projects and contractors
Managing and coordinating geoscience aspects related to drilling well operations
Provide geological leadership and support for enhancing base production through sound asset, reservoir, and wellbore management.
Generate structure and reservoir maps for field appraisal, development and reserve estimation.
Identify and characterize key conventional and unconventional reservoirs.
Provide regional prospect mapping.
Perform a variety of reservoir/field mapping functions, integrating multiple vintages and types of well log and production data, to identify opportunities for production enhancement.
Analyze data from mudlogs, cores, production tests and regulatory filings.
Contribute to the scoping and execution of new projects.
Participate in special projects.
Qualifications:
Masters Degree in Geoscience and 5+ yrs oil and gas industry experience
Permian Basin experience preferred
Reservoir characterization and well operation experience required
Experience with geoscience interpretation software, Petra and SMT preferred
Effective team player who takes an active role in team responsibilities
Strong time management skills.
Ability to work with minimum of supervision.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work on multiple tasks.
