Our downtown Austin, TX client is in need of a Help Desk Specialist for a long-term contract position.  This individual will serve as the first tier of hardware and system support for general IT assistance.

Main Responsibility:

  • Respond to requests from end users to assess and resolve desktop or laptop issues while performing maintenance in a timely manner.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience working with a mid-sized company’s IT group.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft, Apple, and Linux operating systems.
  • Knowledge of networking, including IP assignments, gateways, netmasks, and wiring.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Anti-Virus programs, and various terminal emulators.
  • Experience with ticketing programs
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Outstanding Customer Service and must have be detail orientated
  • A+ Required
  • Network+ is a plus.
