Our Southwest Houston, TX client is seeking a HSE Manager for a Direct Hire opportunity.
Job Overview:
To provide Health, Safety & Environmental Management expertise and technical support for company’s products (Oilfield completion equipment), applications and personnel, while maintaining Federal, State, Local & OSHA requirements. Contribute to the overall safety of the company, through application analysis, safety & hands-on training. Write operational procedures, and up-date current Safety Manuals and computer related information, (PEC & ISN NetWorld) and training files, handle customer understanding of company’s safety process, and assist with HOT Orders requiring safety data. Work with other internal and external departments to supply annual safety training which may require some travel. This position reports to the Director of HR.
Job Qualifications:
Applicant should have a CSP or CSHM certificate and a four year (4) degree in Industrial Safety or an AAS in other related discipline with experience to be considered, and have a strong safety background and training knowledge, be qualified in CPR and First Aid, H2S, PEC Core and/or OSHA 10 & 30 hour training, and other such programs. Have a good understanding of industrial machine-shop environment, oil-field equipment and related oil-field safety. Must be very PC computer literate with Word and Excel. Ability to check and verify accuracy of reports and write operating instructions. Must be a very good “Presenter” and a “People Orientated Person”.
Experience with plant permits and storm water prevention is also highly desired.
Some travel involved to remote locations.
Work Experience:
Must have a minimum of three (3) to five (5) or more years Safety & Training experience, in an oil-field related manufacturing and service environment.
