Our client in Ft. Worth, TX  Is looking for an Human Resources Associate on a contract basis:

The Human Resources Associate will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the Human Resources function.  This position will bring both strategic and tactical responsibilities to all HR functions of the organization including staff recruitment and retention, benefits administration, payroll, employee relations and orientation, performance evaluation, professional development and training, interpretation to staff of standard operating procedures and development and implementation of new policies as needed. This position promotes open communication and collaboration throughout the organization and contributes significantly to maintaining a working environment conducive to personal and professional growth.

Responsibilities
Manage the payroll process including: transmitting payroll; overseeing all functions related to the flexible benefit plan, Smart benefits program, and pension plan; collecting timesheets and maintaining Personal Time Off (PTO) spreadsheet and reviewing quarterly and yearly tax reports.
Develop, administer and enforce personnel policies and practices and proactively educate staff regarding these policies and practices.
Manage all recruitment efforts including: working with teams to develop job descriptions and announcements; placing job listings; working with recruiters as needed; reviewing resumes and setting up interviews; performing references checks and salary negotiations; managing all correspondence related to recruitment and hiring
Administer benefits program that entails researching comparable benefit offerings for staff; maintaining relationships with vendors; educating staff and fielding questions; processing enrollments, claims, and changes; analyzing/recommending new options that promote equity across the organization and reviewing/approving vendor invoices.
Manage personnel record-keeping and employment related matters in compliance with federal, state and local regulations
Act as a resource for supervisors and employees to resolve any issues/concerns.
Consult legal counsel on HR matters as appropriate.
Manage and maintain employee orientation and exit procedures
Perform other duties as assigned to fulfill the company’s needs.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field required with some accounting, also a Professional certification (PHR, SPHR, etc.) considered a plus.
At least 3 years experience in Human Resources related to the above tasks.
Excellent customer service skills and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with staff at all levels.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Highly motivated and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Ability to handle appropriately confidential information
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
Should be familiar with the local, state and federal laws that affect the human resource function.
Drive the enthusiasm toward achieving department and organizational goals.
Must be flexible and have a sense of humor.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel and working knowledge of database systems.
Quick Books payroll processing experience preferred but not required.
