Our client in Houston TX, located outside the NW Loop is seeking an Industrial Sales/ Inventory Specialist to joint their team on a Temp to Hire basis.
The ideal candidate will have previous inventory experience having created work orders, enter purchase orders and understands how to maximize workflow. Previous
experience working with Globalship is preferred.
Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare quotations in response to customer inquiries in accordance with terms & conditions, sales policies & procedures and perform follow-up
Maintain inventory control of both raw material and in process materials
Ensure prompt and accurate product delivery
Production scheduling to ensure efficiency
Manage the order entry process and production work system
Cost accounting of production to itemize and control material, labor costs and time studies
Communicate effectively both verbally and by email with internal and external customers
Follow a quality control process for proper ordering, shipping and receiving
Other requirements are being well adept in cycle counting, maintaining inventory accuracy, meeting goals, scheduling in house on time deliveries, must
have a great deal of knowledge in this field and understanding the business needs
Provide a professional environment with regard to external customers, such as drivers, dispatchers, customer representatives, etc.
Execute daily customer/vendor contract requirements, identify accessorial activity, and ensure necessary documentation.
Requirements:
Must be proficient (3 or 5 years of experience) using SAP, Globalship or similar accounting software application.
Preferred degree (BS or certificate) in mechanical and/or technical field study.
5+ years experience in similar role (will be considered in lieu of education)
Mechanical aptitude and knowledge with ability to interpret drawings, explain parts, identify parts, etc.
Must be familiar with pipeline refinery and/or petrochemical companies.
