Our Rosharon, TX client is in need of an IT Helpdesk Technician for a long-term contract opportunity.

Position Summary:

The IT helpdesk technician’s primary responsibility is to provide 1st line support to all users. This is the first point of contact for the user organization and is responsible for the correct incident registration and follow up of the support request with the tools provided. Works with employees to achieve the highest level of service quality, ensuring that the users remain satisfied with the level of service provided.

Primary Duties:
Support the user organization by means of 1st line support. Incident registrations, Network & email account creation / deletion.
PC Installations, rollouts, and repairs.
End user software support & installation.
LAN / WAN connectivity monitoring.
Network printer creation.
DHCP scope creation.
VoIP phone account creation.
Create & modify server / network environment documentation.
Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:
Maintain computer equipment stock level.
Document in writing repair processes and procedures.
Register all help requests in incident tracking database.
Escalate problems to 2nd / 3rd level support.
Dispatch, solve, follow up, and close incidents arriving from phone calls, email, or in person.
Participate in on call rotation and non-scheduled after hours work.

Qualifications & Experience:
2 years’ experience in a fast paced global corporate environment
Above average knowledge of Windows XP, 7, 2003, 2008 and Microsoft Office 2003 / 2010
Basic understanding of networks and network connectivity
Experience with LANDesk system imaging
Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist certification (MCTS) preferred

Level of Education:

Associates of Applied Science or Higher in Information Technology required
