Our The Woodlands, TX client is in need of an IT Specialist.

Job summary:
The ideal candidate will be able to work independently with minimal supervision. This person must be exceedingly well organized and enjoy the challenges of supporting an office. The ability to interact with staff in a fast paced environment, under occasional pressure, while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial to this role.
The IT Specialist needs to be skilled and also specialize in computers and related fields and also familiarize with different IT related developments, should upgrade the knowledge regularly, have good knowledge of logics, and should be an organized person.

Responsibilities:
Managing user computer systems including procurement, setup, maintenance and inventory
General support/helpdesk – diagnosing, repairing the failed computer hardware/software
MUST be able to troubleshoot networking issues over the phone with remote users.
Maintaining servers, network and backup systems Manage Microsoft Enterprise products (i.e. *Exchange 2010, Outlook, Active Directory)
Identify, evaluate and submit recommendations for improvement
Installation of Microsoft Office products.
Desktop setup from scratch.
Must have documented networking experience, including firewalls.

Knowledge and skills requirements:
Must possess a good understanding and have thorough usage of Microsoft Enterprise products (i.e. Exchange, Outlook, and Active Directory)
Experience managing servers, proficient in networking and firewalls
Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Server 2003/2008
Knowledge and experience with ShoreTel
Knowledge and experience with Windows XP/7
Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office 2007/2010
Knowledge and experience with Blackberry

Education / Experience:
Associate’s degree or Technical degree – college degree preferred
Microsoft Certification credentials or similar a plus
Strong analytical skills, good judgment, proven problem solving abilities
Solid organizational/management skills, exceptional communication and client skills, written and oral, strong customer service focus, team oriented
