Our Dallas, TX client is seeking a Land Associate on a direct hire basis to join their well established oil & gas company.
Duties:
Monitor Drilling Schedule and track progress of wells.
Aide landman in monitoring continuous development obligations.
Prepare and track AFEs and well proposals to working interest owners.
Prepare and track information and plats for Drilling Permit process, including non-standard locations and applicable field rules.
Compile surface damage settlement spreadsheets and prepare check requests for same.
Prepare Well Data Sheets and issue to proper departments.
Prepare and track information for DAM files.
Issue Payout Elections and Notifications to Working Interest Owners and relay final ownership to various departments.
Generate land contracts such as Oil and Gas Leases, Assignments, Operating Agreements, etc.
Check for SOX compliance with regards to land issues.
Aide Landman in clearing title in preparation to drill wells.
Work with Land GIS manager to update Leasehold Status map with Leased, HBP and CDC acreage.
Interact with Operations and Geoscience groups with Land support and information critical to ongoing development of properties.
Support Landman in leasing, acquisitions, divestitures and other special duties and projects.
Requirements:
7+ years experience “in-house” with oil and gas exploration and production company.
Experience in preparation of drilling wells.
Experience in analyzing leases and contracts.
Must possess and demonstrate excellent written, computer and interpersonal skills.
Must be able to handle multiple projects and obtain results in a performance driven, team oriented environment.
