Our Addison, Texas client is looking for a Senior In-House Landman with the following qualifications.
This person will be involved in all phases of exploration and development operations such as lease and contract negotiations, and managing partner relations.
Responsibilities:
Pro-actively identify, seek and develop significant business opportunities that are in areas of interest
Review agreements, contracts and regulations associated with potential acquisitions
Advise management regarding strategic land issues and potential opportunities and risks associated with various land issues
Interacts with all departments with respect to issues involving acquisition opportunities
Assists in property sale and acquisitions as requested
Coordinate through the State regulatory agencies all exploration and production issues to facilitate company production goals
Supervise in house and field Landmen
Assist Division Order group with initial ownership setup
Communicate and work closely with team members of engineers and geologists in developing prospects for drilling as a multitude of interdepartmental groups
Make sure due diligence is followed at all times
Mentor and educate less experienced Landmen
Some administrative duties
Some travel will be required
Requirements:
Minimum of 5-10 years of in-house Landman experience, Mid Continent region preferred
College degree preferred but not required
Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other land related software
Excellent organizational, communication and problem solving skills
Excellent work ethics
Ability to interact and guide a team
Candidate will possess the ability to work independently
