Our Plano, TX client is looking for an Lead Software Engineer. The selected candidate will have the following skill set:
Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced lead software engineer/architect to execute the complete software development lifecycle for embedded and backend systems in the mass transit industry (bus, rail, & air).
Education/Experience Required:
BS or MS in Computer Science, Mathematics or relevant industry experience.
Requirements:
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
Highly motivated self-starter accustomed to lead role with aggressive schedules
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects concurrently
8+ years of software engineering leadership. This implies:
System architecture, design, and implementation
Software design and coding
Project and team management
Experience in a CMMI level 2 development environment including adherence to software design, coding and documentation standards
Agile/SCRUM development process
Subversion or CVS version control and practices
Network design and implementation experience (IP, VPN, & redundancy)
Development platform/tools specification, deployment, and maintenance
Pluses:
Embedded Linux systems design and development experience
MS IIS & SQL or Apache & MySQL server application design and development experience
Experience in the mass transit industry
