Our Grand Prairie, TX client is seeking a Manufacturing Financial Analyst on a Direct Hire basis.

Position Overview:
Perform financial analysis to be used for strategic decision-making, more accurate product costing, identifying opportunities for cost savings or more efficient methods and understanding how activities and their cost are linked to products. 

Job Responsibilities:
Work closely with purchasing, engineering, and operations departments to ensure the accuracy of standard product costing and cost accounting methods
Provide support and assistance with annual business plan process
Responsible for the bi-annual standard cost updates
Track monthly costs and activities to provide insight into areas needing cost reduction and process or profit improvement
Analysis of purchase price, labor, overhead and subcontract variances
Monthly inventory perpetual to general ledger reconciliations and problem resolution
Manufacturing Order oversight (variance review, aged order review, account recs)
Revenue / Margin analysis and reporting
Manufacturing cost analysis (variable / fixed spending accounts)
Detailed review and understanding / control of Adjustment/Variance section of financial statements
Assist with annual physical inventory process and control
Perform and/or audit cycle count for finished goods and raw materials throughout the year
Production report balancing, auditing and verification
Inter-company shipments and transfer activity auditing and review, as applicable
Other Accounting and Finance duties and projects as assigned

Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
Four to ten years related experience
Experience in a manufacturing environment performing cost accounting duties is preferred
Inventory accounting experience preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required
Strong Analytical Skills – Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Detail Oriented – Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task
Experience with Movex and Lotus Notes a plus
