Our downtown Nashville, TN client is looking for a Marketing Communications Manager to join their team on a direct hire basis.  This is fast-paced, very busy office.

Position Description:
The Manager-Marketing Communications is responsible for presenting a meaningful, differentiated and consistent story about our offices, practices, lawyers and key initiatives to our target audiences.
The Manager-Marketing Communications will strategize, plan, budget, create, execute and measure the effectiveness of our visual and verbal communications in building awareness of, interest in and respect for who the firm is and what the firm stands for among targeted clients/prospects, recruits, alumni and other audiences, excluding the media.
This position will take a lead role with lawyers, business development and communications staff to determine whether marketing collateral is needed and, if so, the optimal methods and formats to meet their needs.
The person in this position will develop and maintain a collateral system for the firm’s practices/industries that is efficient and easily implemented, and will develop concepts/positioning and write or edit content for collateral materials (brochures, newsletters, announcements, invitations, advertisements, partner biographies, website content and online and direct mail campaigns that target clients, prospect clients, law students/laterals, alumni and other opinion leaders/publications).
The Manager-Marketing Communications will work closely with both the public relations team and the internal Communications Manager to ensure consistency/synergy of messaging across all external and internal audiences and to ensure the quality, consistency and timeliness in the creation and production of communications materials and other branded touch points.
The Manager-Marketing Communications will take a lead role in seeking and introducing new ways to leverage our content in new/improved channels and vehicles in order to strengthen relationships with our clients/prospects and with other key external audiences, and draft and/or edit materials that support firmwide initiatives, including recruiting law students and lateral partners, diversity and pro bono initiatives.
This position ensures brand standards are upheld across the firm’s marketing materials, online content, and messaging as well as contributes to development and implementation of the firm’s online marketing strategy and content for our website.
The person in this position will help manage relationships with outside vendors providing design, writing and other consulting services, and establish and maintain an efficient method for collateral access and version control including managing stationery system.

Qualifications:
Candidate must have a college degree, with an advanced degree a plus, and a minimum of 6 years’ relevant experience.
Relevant experience includes all elements of marketing communications, including strategy, writing, project management (timelines/budgets), design and other creative execution, development, event planning, brainstorming and presenting/selling ideas.
Candidate should have a track record of success and increased responsibility in strategy development, business planning, writing/editing, branding/advertising, professional services marketing and supervising/mentoring junior talent.
The candidate should have thorough knowledge of the marketing communications function and broad knowledge of the other marketing functions in the department; be able to set their own day-to-day priorities based on balancing incoming requests and overall objectives of the firm and the requestor; and be able to anticipate issues and opportunities, and address them with little or no supervision.
Candidate should be able to find and effectively use data, experience and judgment to formulate realistic and sound points of view; be able to develop and make formal presentations to lawyers and other groups throughout the firm; and have the ability to maintain positive relationships with firm leaders, partners, marketing colleagues and superiors.
