Our Dallas, TX client is seeking a Medical Coder to join their team on a contract to possible hire basis.
Responsibilities:
Complete coding on home health certification forms
Review and ensure that coding documents are complete and accurate
Create and maintain Electronic Medical Records
Pre-certification and pre-determination
Answer the phone and provide immediate support for appointments and questions
Requirements and Qualifications:
2+ years medical coding experience – preferably in Home Health
Computer proficiency with expertise in MS Office products Word and Excel
ICD-9 Experience
Must be very detail oriented and organized
Team oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills
Self-starter; can initiate and perform tasks without continuous direction
