Our client in McKinney, TX Is looking for An Office Manager:

Job Summary: We are looking for a full-time, temp-to-hire Office Manager. We are a sales tax consulting firm and the office manager is the point person in our office. They are the right hand of the partners of the firm and a very valuable team member.

Responsibilities of the position include:
Receiving and directing callers and visitors
Distributing incoming mail and processing outgoing mail and shipping requests
Maintaining and organizing the copy/mail/supply room and the kitchen
Placing and tracking orders for office and kitchen supplies
Handling service requests related to office machines and office maintenance
Following up on insurance, payroll and banking issues as they arise
Responsible for new employee documentation and setup
Responsible for tracking filing deadlines with the appropriate government agencies and ensure that those deadlines are not missed
Arranging catering for meetings and on-site employee functions
Assisting management and other employees with administrative tasks as needed
Filing
Performing personal tasks and errands for management as needed
All functions related to business accounting including invoicing customers, receiving payments, accounts payable, reconciling accounts, collections, and payroll.
Corresponding with clients and governmental agencies via phone, mail and email
Sales and Marketing support which includes creating contracts, faxing documents to prospective and current clients upon request, researching prospective client data, maintaining a contract database, gathering appropriate contract data and mailing marketing letters.

The person who will be successful in this position will have the following qualifications, experience and characteristics:
Types proficiently (50+ WPM)
Data entry experience
Proficiency with Quickbooks including payroll processing and tax filing
Proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook and vendor websites (e.g. Fedex, USPS, etc)
Strong grammar and writing skillsAbility to lift at least 40 lbs.
Drivers license and reliable transportation
Experience in research via the internet
Strong work ethic and uses time productively to accomplish work goals
Reliable, punctual, self-motivated and a fast learner
Great phone etiquette, customer service skills and professional demeanor
Effective organizational skills and keeps files and work area organized
Attention to detail and approaches work in a meticulous and thorough manner
Excellent attendance and completes quality work on time
