Our Houston, TX client located in the Galleria is seeking a dynamic Operations Assistant to join their team on a Temp to Possible Hire basis.
This position supports a dynamic team of Traders and needs a professional capable of moving at a fast-pace and enjoys a great team environment. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, has great attention to detail, can be assertive when necessary, and possesses an entrepreneurial spirit.
Primary Duties:
Assist with data entry into computer to record quantity, cost, delivery and billing information.
Generate sales invoices and settlement checks on a daily basis.
Provide support for commodity shipments. This may include billing of equipment, tracing rail cars, troubleshooting delivery issues, and payment of freight.
Computer savvy with the ability to maintain purchases, sales, futures, transportation, freight variance and daily position reports.
Ad hoc projects as assigned by management
Requirements:
5+ years experience in an administrative support role
Experience with Right Angle software is required
Familiar with standard accounting concepts, practices, and procedures
Personable, detail-oriented, with strong analytical abilities
Strategic thinker, self starter, and works well with minimal direction
