Frontline Source Group – temporary staffing and direct hire firm – is looking for a Plant Technical Sales and Business Development Manager for our Downtown Dallas, TX client on a temporary/contract to possible hire basis.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
The Plant Technical Sales & New Business Development position will report directly to the Vice President of Sales

THE NEED
The company is in need of a technically sound individual with excellent sales skills to lead our efforts in the air pollution control markets and new business development. This individual must be comfortable having technical discussions with engineers while also being able to negotiate with purchasing. This individual must also be able to anticipate new market needs as they relate the company’s products. 

BASIC FUNCTION
This Plant Technical Sales & Business Development individual will work closely with the Vice President, Sales / Marketing and other key management personnel to develop and implement the company’s sales efforts in providing solutions for the air pollution control markets and new business development.  The Plant Technical Sales & New Business Development individual will be responsible for finding, researching, developing, and maintaining these new accounts.

ESSENTIAL JOB ELEMENTS
Develop a sales plan with the Vice President, Sales and Marketing to grow the company’s air pollution control markets customer base and develop new markets.
Conduct continual Market Research on coal fired power plants installing scrubbers for flue gas desulphurization.
Develop technical relationships at electric power companies, cement plants, and other boiler operators to achieve involvement at the beginning stages of any scrubber installation processes.
Develop long and medium-term marketing plan for the air pollution control markets to ensure continued growth over the next several years.
Develop and maintain key customer relationships in the air pollution control markets.
Make appropriate sales calls as required to ensure selling success and customer satisfaction.  Call frequently on potential accounts to stay current on trends and be able to anticipate changing demand.
Active participation in appropriate industry associations.
Willingness to travel approximately 25 – 50% of the time.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Over ten (10) years of related technical sales and new business development experience
Experience with selling technical solutions to technical customers into a variety of industries including power, environmental, water treatment, steel, and/or paper.  Skilled in developing and maintaining deep customer relationships
The candidate must possess a “passion for excelling” and have a track record for achieving sales targets.
The candidate must have professional presence and demeanor and be polished in selling into executive levels, as well as adapting a sales strategy into industrial environments.
Background should include experience with a variety of products, ideally produced or manufactured from multi-plant locations
Knowledge of CRM systems is preferred
Familiarity with the use of Salesforce is a plus
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office Suite of products required

EDUCATION
A college degree is required
