Our Northwest Houston, TX client is in need of a Quality Supervisor for a Direct Hire opportunity.

Technical Requirements:
Technical or Engineering Degree preferred
Experience with ISO 9001, ASTM B31.3 essential
Above average knowledge of Microsoft Office products – Excel, Word, Powerpoint
SAP experience would be an asset
Experience in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of welding standards, procedures and specifications
Lean Enterprise training and/or exposure would be an asset
5-7 years relevant experience
Exposure to fluid transfer – fluid loading/unloading would be an asset
Certified ISO Internal Auditor

Responsibilities : Customer Related

Manage and process all customer complaints. Coordinate meetings with customer, etc. to troubleshoot and resolve problems. Coordination with Sales to initiate Returned Goods Authorizations (RGAs) and/or provide new parts, etc. Manage customer complaint database and initiation of preventive and corrective actions through to completion.
Inspection, receipt, disposition and rework of all RGAs. Communication with vendors on issues for warranty and/or reimbursement of costs endured. Confirmation that part costs and rework are captured under warranty.
Manage complex orders in regards to meeting with customers, communication with customers, , developing test plans, arrangement of 3rd party / customer witness inspections, providing documentation, , and working with 3rd party inspectors

Responsibilities:

Incoming and In process inspection
Maintain Welder qualifications, certifications and processes. Create and maintain all welding process quality records. Maintain Welder Qualification spreadsheet for utilization by the Welding Lead. Maintain welder continuity log
Take photos of shipments as needed. Inspect appropriate samples of outgoing product and periodic audits of in-process inspections.
Inspect Incoming purchased parts and material to ensure they conform to specification/drawing requirement before releasing to stock. Tagging and disposition of defective product identified in-house. Cycling out of inventory, communication with vendors on issues and reimbursement of costs endured.

Administrative : Quality Oversight

Maintain ISO program, document and data control, internal quality audits, etc. Create / revise procedures as needed and provide training. Also, conduct Quality Audits of Suppliers and Potential Suppliers
Maintenance of Non-Conformance spreadsheet / initiation of Engineering Change Requests and Corrective Actions as required.
Review MTRs, X-Ray, Hydro-testing for compliance – Prepare and distribute Certificates of Conformance as needed.
Generate quality metric reports
Maintenance of all equipment and tools requiring calibration to ensure calibration is kept up to date.
