Sales Development Manager – Houston Texas

Our Houston, TX client, located in the Energy Corridor, is in need of 2 Sales Development Managers for a Direct Hire opportunity.

The Sales Development Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with Engineering firms and other customers to sell products particularly to the gas shale regions of Texas, Louisiana and others. The candidate will work with engineers, architects and in-house personnel with Midstream and E&P companies to help define project requirements and be responsible to provide corporate presentations and submit proposals. You will meet with customers to discuss their specific needs and make recommendations and review drawings and specifications, and to determine the customer’s needs in order for them to request cost estimates. The individual will be expected to “hunt and harvest” new business potential and projects.

MUST have 3 to 5 years of experience with Metal Buildings and construction knowledge, preferably in a field sales position. Will also consider candidates who come from a Oil service company background that has contact with engineering firms.
Knowledge of Acoustics and Noise Control will be a definite asset.
Good technical knowledge of pre-engineered metal building systems as well as good written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to read, interpret and convey the project scope from drawings and specifications.
Must be available to travel 50% of the time. Could be more as business develops.
These positions can be based in either Houston, TX or in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and have the ability to develop and close new business within the target client base.
Good understanding and knowledge of developing potential teaming partners such as general contractors and be able to direct proposal activities necessary in the pursuit of new business.
Must have a “Hunter” attitude and have a successful track record of attaining and maintaining new customers.
