Our Northwest Houston, TX client is in need of a Sales Representative – North America for a Direct Hire Opportunity.

Summary:
To assist in maintaining and developing client relationships by discussing and planning applications for company equipment/services with clients, preparing and carrying out technical sales presentations, and developing new business opportunities.  This person must have viable and current contacts within the oil and gas field. Those who have contacts with drilling companies are strongly encouraged to apply.

Requirements:
3 to 5 years of outside sales experience
Technical Sales Background for an Oil and Gas company REQUIRED
Technical Experience (Engineering or Operations) would be a plus
Bachelors degree preferred, but not required
Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time for the first year
Must be ambitious and have a strong desire to succeed

Duties:
Assist in Developing and Maintaining Business Relationships:
Discuss and plan applications for company equipment/services with clients.
Prepare and carry out technical sales presentations.
Liaise with the Proposals & Contracts Team for the preparation of tenders and pre-qualification tenders.
Liaise with existing clients to maintain relationships.
Assist the Sales Team with the co-ordination and targeting of new areas of business.
Assist in preparation of budgets and business plans.
Develop new business opportunities through effective networking.
Delegate own workload to ensure all clients are given required attention.
Promote a positive image of the organization at all times.
Actively travel across the United States as may be required, to develop and maintain customer relationships.

Provide Technical Advice:
Liaise with relevant Engineering departments on project-specific applications for client requirements.
Assist with the engineering content required for technical proposals.
Provide support to offshore / onshore personnel to ensure highest level of operations are achieved.
Pursue a program of customer contacts, entertaining and relationship building while creating, circulating and filing relevant customer reports and up keep of CRM system.

Exhibitions, Conferences and Corporate Hospitality:
Attend conferences and exhibitions as required.
Assist with the coordination of requirements for the exhibiting team as required.
Attend corporate events as and when required.
Liaise with the sales and marketing department to decide the type of corporate event required.
