Our Grapevine, TX client is seeking a Senior Network Engineer with strong Cisco and F5 skills. The successful candidate will exhibit strong team lead abilities and be involved in some major projects as well as helping with resolving networking issues and developing and maintaining the network environment. You should ideally have a minimum of a CCNP.
Essential:
Extensive experience with F5 Big-IP load balancers. Experience with v10 a must. V11 ideal.
Cisco Professional Certification or equivalent hands-on experience
Checkpoint Professional Certification or equivalent hands-on experience
Extensive knowledge of Internet Protocols, communication protocols, data and network security
Knowledge of Nokia appliances for Checkpoint Firewall
Network Monitoring Tools (Packet Analysers, EOTs, Nagios, smokeping)
Cisco ASA Firewall configuration and management
Cisco Switch Configuration and Troubleshooting
Cisco Router Configuration and Troubleshooting
Network Performance Monitoring and Troubleshooting
IP routing skills (BGP, Route filtering)
Hands-on experience of network encryption techniques (IPSEC)
Knowledge Cisco Quality of Service
Knowledge of SSL Certification and Domain name management
Working knowledge of Unix/Linux (Solaris/RedHat)
Competent documentation skills
Desirable:
Intrusion Detection/Prevention technologies
Remote access (using ASA)
Experience in security event monitoring and intrusion detection/prevention (SIEM)
Vulnerability assessment and management tools (Penetration testing internal/external)
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years related experience.
Advanced understanding of specific technologies/systems such as UNIX, Midrange, Network and Computer Operations.
Advanced understanding in web-based architecture and development techniques.
