Duties and Responsibilities:
– Primary responsibility is to prepare financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule.
– Assure that all accounting tasks are performed on an accurate and timely fashion.
– Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures.
– Prepare monthly account reconciliations.
– Analyze financial statements on a monthly basis and report on variances.
– Assist with financial and tax audits.
– Assist with preparing tax returns and corporate reporting requirements.
– Assist in documentation and monitoring of internal controls.
– Work closely with Project Managers to ensure projects are within their respective budgets and contract terms and conditions.
– Prepare and distribute monthly actual vs. budget billing report by customer and region as well as documenting variances.
– Other projects as assigned
Requirements include:
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
– CPA required.
– 10+ years experience with project accounting in a construction or engineering company.
– Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with all levels of management in a variety of locations.
– Must have strong organization and mathematical skills, detail oriented, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
– Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.
– Excellent written and oral communication skills.
