Our Dallas, TX client is looking for an Senior Sharepoint Developer. Our client is looking for a Sharepoint Portal Server (SPS), SQL Server, and Windows Developer to administer the current infrastructure. The ideal candidate will design, implement and administer the Sharepoint Portal Server implementation from early design through to implementation. This project will require greater integration with existing web and search servers and will grow in importance as the scope and size of the enterprise solution grows.
The successful candidate will have current experience with monitoring, maintaining, and analyzing the function and performance of Windows based servers in a Corporate Enterprise Environment. “Bare Metal” installation and configuration of Servers, operating systems, software, supervising the implementation of backup and recovery routines for the Sharepoint environments. Managing ongoing development of SPS and Windows Sharepoint Services (WSS) site architectures and Windows “SharePoint Technologies” Services growth. Provisioning site collections, preparing sites for end users, and ensuring end users and site owners are properly trained. Knowledge of Microsoft .Net development techniques including ASP.Net. Effective collaboration with first-line IT support staff, end users, and other IT Teams is expected. Qualified applicants should have 5 years of experience in a large enterprise environment and be able to multi-task on several different projects and applications. Applicants with experience in a large, high-volume, multi-platform Engineering environments are preferred.
Responsibilities:
Manage and support IIS, SharePoint Technologies, SQL Server and Windows Server-based environments
Creating programs, scripts and automating tasks using Visual Basic, WMI and ADSI and/or Perl programming
For use with Sharepoint as well as Other Windows needs
Plan and execute core service, operating system and major hardware upgrades and projects from conception to completion.
Maintain and monitor production systems to ensure optimal performance and uptime
Participate in business driven projects as a representative of IT team.
Create and maintain standards for automated server and workstation builds
Responsible for overall administration and management of key infrastructures services
Participation in 7/24 on call support team
Capacity planning, managing systems for availability and growth

Experience Required:
Microsoft IIS and Sharepoint Technologies
Strong technical understanding of web part and web services design and integration as well as graphically customizing the Sharepoint Portal Server User Interface
Understanding of Sharepoint API & web services
Extensive Experience with administering of SQL Server and Reporting Services
Understanding of Active Directory architecture and it’s interactions with Sharepoint
General understanding of XML
Familiar with Microsoft .Net environment, and Visual basic programming skill set preferred
4-6 Years of Microsoft specific application development with at least 2 years of .NET/C# development and or Perl preferred
Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory
Thorough understanding of WINS,DNS
Linux/Unix administration preferred
Needs to have created information management systems using Sharepoint.
Legal or Engineering experience in Sharepoint is a plus and preferred.
Experience with Web Logic and MSCE/MCSA
