Our Downtown Houston, TX client is in need of an Senior Technical Specialist on a contract to hire basis. This is a contract to hire opportunity and pay is between $25.00-$30.00 an hour while on contract.

Description:
Senior Technical Specialist is an advanced level Technical Specialist whose focus is on the highest level of client satisfaction through billable client servicing of Software, network, hardware warranty, and maintenance issues and the timely delivery and installation of new products.  The Senior Technical Specialist is capable of researching and investigating emerging technologies that will help the company deliver exceptional service to their clients. With years of experience he/she provides innovative solutions that exhibit a strong technical knowledge of most vendors’ Operating Systems, applications, and hardware product line. 

Requirements, Duties, and Responsibilities:
Provide a high level of service to clients by attending to and resolving onsite technical problems.   Efficiently repairing, installing, and maintaining equipment and conducting moves/adds/changes to hardware product.
Provide Tier 3 level technical support to clients and other team members.
Perform skilled work in the installation, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of a variety of computers, related peripheral equipment, including printer and scanners.
Conducts on-site upgrades, configurations, and testing of client’s equipment.
Coordinate service request for the installation/de-installation of new equipment.
Must be able to diagnose various network problems such as connectivity, data accessibility and restrictions, slow performance, and inefficient programs.
Maintains appropriate records and documentation of service work performed and ensures timely communication to supervisor of service status and potential issues.
Enhances level of technical training and skill set through active development within chosen technical path / skill set.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues that your team is unable to resolve
Must have leadership abilities that motivate others to perform various tasks well. 

Required Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree or an Associate’s Degree in the field of technology, or equivalent education and/or experience.

Work Experience:
On-site service technical experience – more than 5 years.   Direct customer Interface experience – minimum 3 years.

Technical Skills:
High level of technical proficiency in the areas of microcomputers, and corresponding peripheral.   Familiarity with large account environments and protocol.
Proficient in installing and navigating various components of Microsoft Windows OS, i.e. Windows 2000, Vista, XP, Windows 7, and Windows Server 2003.
Proven experience in troubleshooting and repairing of desktops, mobiles, servers, routers, switches & various other peripherals.
Must have thorough knowledge of network environment and equipment, application, and corresponding test equipment.

Certifications:
A+ Certification and current MCSE certifications is required.  Hardware vendor certifications (Lenovo, IBM, HP, Lexmark, etc) are desired but not requirements.

Other:
Valid Driver’s License and acceptable motor vehicle record required for opportunities
requiring business travel.
