Our Houston TX client, located in the Jersey Village area, is in need of an Software Developer.
Job Description:
We are looking for a Developer that will work closely with managers and staff to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions. This person will participate in the full systems life cycle with solution design, development, implementation, and production support. ASP.NET and C# development are the crucial skill-sets needed.
Job duties include:
System analysis, design, coding and testing
Handle change requests and provide quick and efficient solutions
Analyze business requirements and transform them into technical design. Implement the design to develop and test the functional requirements.
Source code maintenance
Administer development and production environments. This includes websites and databases.
Proactively provide ideas and solutions
Interact with business development and marketing team to understand the business requirements
Provide effort estimates and prioritize tasks
Provide timely functional releases so as to meet fast changing business requirements
Assess risk and impact on the existing system that may arise due to any requirement or functional change
Minimum Requirements:
Solid foundation in object-oriented design, programming, and requirements development
High level of self-motivation, initiative, and independent thinking, along with passion for software development
Good, demonstrable C# programming skills and strong in object oriented concepts
Developing software using C# on an MS Windows platform using Visual Studio 2010
Strong familiarity with MS Windows and Visual Studio environment
Experience with design-patterns and multi-threading
Ability to apply logical or scientific thinking to practical problems and software alternatives
Possess good written and verbal communication skills; ability to clearly explain and document work Education
BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related degree with at least 4 years of software development experience or equivalent job experience.
