Our Houston, TX client, located in Greenway Plaza, is in need of a Technical Advisor for a Direct Hire opportunity.
POSITION SUMMARY
Seeking a Technical Advisor to serve as a company recognized subject matter expert, technical leader of programs, and a technical mentor to our Refinery Process Field Sales Team. This position will provide technical leadership and advice on strategic growth programs and projects, engage with other functions (e.g. sales, engineering, marketing, manufacturing, IP and external technology manager etc.) as needed to help define and execute on company objectives.
JOB DUTIES
Provides all aspects of process treatment expertise, problem solving and technical leadership across one or more sustained strategic programs to improve product and program offerings. (Crude unit, Fluid Cat. Crackers, Cokers, HDS, and Finished Fuels)
Travel and support chemical applications in specific subject matter or product line.
Provide and develop engineering tools and expertise
Train and mentor refinery sales force.
Be active in industry conferences
Conducts and Oversees Field Chemical Evaluations
Conducts Technical Field Audits
Assists in Design and Implementation Field Applications
Help Transition New accounts
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry or related fields.
Extensive Knowledge of Refinery Operations.
Extensive Technical Management experience in understanding of refinery process treatment programs and products.
Understanding of end use product lines is essential.
Proficient in Excel, Visio, and Powerpoint
Process simulation experience a plus
Travel Requirement up to 25%
