Our client in Northwest Houston, TX is seeking a Technical Sales Rep on a Direct Hire basis.

Your role with the company:
The Technical Sales Rep is responsible for introducing the company’s services to new and existing customers, primarily land rig and offshore rig builders/contractors. The ability to be technically minded while still being capable of building a trusted relationship is what will carry the person in this role to success. The company is also introducing a new product to the market that will assist in making older rigs more competitive which will open a lot of opportunity on the sales side as well. This position reports to the Sales Manager who is very supportive but also is in a production role doing the same work as everyone else. This is a great team environment where someone driven to grow will do well.
Background profile:
A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or similar technical field is highly preferred
At least 5 years of experience in a similar role
Experience in selling to drilling rig manufacturers or large drilling contractors
Exposure to selling capital equipment
Working knowledge of all aspects of a drilling rig
Expertise in sales from a technical aspect
Ability to travel up to 35% of the time
