Our Downtown Houston, TX client is seeking an Administrative Assistant for a contract to possible hire opportunity.

Job Description:
This position will report directly to the Vice President and will be responsible for supporting an office of 8 to 20 individuals.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day administrative functions including managing the front desk, main office phone, and daily mail inspections to include courier duty.
Develop a solid understanding of our services.  There may be opportunities to attend industry conferences, meetings and events, interacting with clients and representing our organization.
Maintain Salesforce, project calendars and project reports, coordinate corporate initiatives, set up and organize travel itineraries, meetings, and conference calls, prepare and submit expense reports, and assist with projects as necessary.
Be responsible for various office management functions including but limited to organizing and ordering office supplies, organizing and maintaining kitchen/break room area, scanning, filing, and coordinating resources and materials required for meetings, presentations and trainings.

Required:
Self starter.  Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with minimal direct supervision.
Skilled in organizing resources and establishing priorities in managing multiple projects, and meeting deadlines, demonstrating initiative, sense of urgency and task follow-through.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Detail-oriented and articulate.  Strong proofreading skills.
Excellent customer service skills with a strong focus on establishing and building relationships.
Developed interpersonal skills including courtesy, professionalism, and a cooperative attitude with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff, as well as outside clients and vendors.

Preferred Skills/Experience:
Degree in English or Communications preferred
Experience with sales and/or marketing preferred
Experience in the energy sector preferred
Prior administrative experience required
