Our Houston, TX client is looking for an Administrative Assistant for a long term contract.

Summary:
Responsible for providing high-level administrative support by conducting research, handling information requests and performing clerical functions.

Education/Experience:
Previous experience required. Skills and Competencies: Verbal and written communication skills, multi-tasking, customer service skills and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage ones time.
Ability to keep information organized and confidential.
Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform general office duties such as ordering supplies, maintaining records management systems, and performing basic bookkeeping work.
Prepare invoices, reports, memos, letters, financial statements, and other documents.
File and retrieve corporate documents, records, and reports. Open, sort and distribute incoming correspondence, including faxes and emails.
Prepare responses to correspondence containing routing inquiries.
Perform other duties as assigned.
The role acts as the communications coordinator, creating and sending broadcasts globally to employees regarding events and other information.
The incumbent is responsible for the Set-up, creation, and delivery of All Employee Meetings to employees around the globe within the Customer.
Meetings are coordinated for external customers and dealers in the Houston area.
Beyond the completion of its own work, the position assigns and reviews the day-to-day work of other employees.
It provides information for performance evaluations but is not solely responsible for personnel issues.
Typical internal customers include a Department or Business/Service Unit in a Division.
The position’s primary customers are internal.
The position is challenged to quickly and correctly identify problems which may not be obvious.
The incumbent solves problems by determining the best course of action, within departmental guidelines, from many existing solutions.
The incumbent establishes and then monitors general policies and guidelines for projects under his/her control to ensure specific, management goals are met and desired results are achieved.
Impacts key quality goals including Customer Satisfaction, Continuous Improvement, Timeliness, Accuracy, Efficiency, Cost Savings, Process Quality, Office Certification, etc.
The position changes the way work is performed to meet quality goals for the measure(s) stated.
