Our West Houston client has a temporary position for a Payroll Processor – ADP. This person will be responsible for maintaining and processing payroll data. Responsible for employee time and attendance, data entry, reconciliation, and management reports as required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Process high-volume payroll in compliance with federal, state, and local laws utilizing ADP.
2. Complete pay cycle procedures for semimonthly payroll.
3. Establish workflow processes to ensure timely and accurate payrolls.
4. Work under minimal direction within legal requirements and defined policies.
5. Manage projects impacting the payroll process including system implementations and upgrades.
6. Identify and document any actual or potential payroll compliance issues and recommend solutions.
7. Serve as point of contact for federal, state and local taxing authorities.
8. Prepare reconciliations for SOX controls.
9. Perform critical year-end reviews and processes (including, but not limited to, W-2’s and tax reconciliations).
10. Comply with established deadlines and procedures.
11. Create customized reports for ad-hoc and procedural reporting as requested.
12. Provide analytical data for internal reporting.
13. Maintain work history records including overtime, sick and vacation reporting.
14. Assist employees with compensation and/or payroll questions.
