Our Northwest Houston TX client is in need of a Business Development Manager for a Direct Hire Opportunity.

Job purpose:
Manage commercialization process and launch of product into Seismic market and assist commercial team in delivering seismic product offerings to the market which deliver value to the seismic industry. Ensure ongoing profitable growth of the seismic market within North American. Driving creation of effective value propositions for product and service bundled offerings to meet customer needs now and in the future and drive value to company via differentiated offerings.

Accountabilities:
Commercial Ownership – run the business as if it’s your own
Analyze market segment, identifying key growth opportunities and developing strategies for the exploitation of the same.
Working with Product Managers, develop bundled value propositions aligned to market segment.
Secure growth opportunities aligned with overall business strategy and growth & EBIT targets.
Manage significant tender submissions for NA strategic customers within market segment.
Analyze competitor accounts portfolio and develop & implement strategies for the securing of target accounts within segment.
Develop & execute implementation plans for product/market initiatives within segment.
Develop new business “pipeline” with future opportunities identified and plans in place.
Develop and execute strategies for the successful penetration of EDGE initiative within in NA.
Identify market opportunities and feed these into the R&D process.
Support commercialization of new products.
Manage direct customer interface for growth opportunities, developing account strategies and key customer relationships.
Explore and evaluate new business opportunities including alliances and partnerships.
Grow business development capability by mentoring others with the business.
Ensure effective co-ordination of all necessary resources for successful initiative implementation.
Champion strategic account management systems and been seen as a source of commercial excellence.
Provide leadership, strategic influence and focus to model an appropriate SHE culture.
Ensure effective change control processes are in place and utilized for initiatives undertaken.
Ensure product stewardship principles are adhered to for all opportunities developed, including the use of appropriate risk assessment and mitigation techniques.
Ensure all SH&E actions are completed as appropriate.
Ensure all employees understand their SH&E obligations and provide appropriate systems to equip them with required skills & competence.

Skills:
Must have experience in the Seismic Industry
Benchmark commercial management skills. High levels of organizational, communication and human resource management skills. Developed Strategic Planning, & sales skills.
Developed strategic planning capability.
Sound knowledge of marketing strategies, competitive placement and brand presentation. Ability to drive and sell initiatives both externally & internally.
Effective communication abilities across all levels of the organization. Strong financial analysis ability & commercial acumen.
Education and Experience:
Business, Marketing, Science, Engineering or similar Degree. MBA or similar post graduate management qualification preferable.
7-10 years relevant industrial and commercial experience.
