Our Nashville, TN client is looking for a Cash Application Coordinator on a temporary-to-hire contract.
Job Responsibilities:
Posting cash payments, cash receipts, reconciliation and processing of miscellaneous credits/debits. Applying unapplied cash to customer accounts and follow-up with over/under payment discrepancies.
Reconciling customer accounts and monthly statements
Generate and mail unearned discount charge backs and cash on account letters along with supporting documents for resolution
Assist with A/R close
Ability to interface with the Claims and Collections staff regarding payment reconciliation transaction coding and other AR accounting issues.
Handle calls and concerns from internal& external customers regarding payments and deductions; research back-up information when needed.
Back up team members and participate in projects as needed
Position Qualifications:
Associate degree in Accounting, Finance or General Business or relevant work experience
Minimum 2-4 years experience in Credit, Collections, or A/R experience required
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
General knowledge of Accounting.
Ability to work with little or no supervision
Strong communication and organizational skills a must.
Ability to develop strong relationships
Well organized and timely
Detailed oriented with a high level of accuracy with high volume work
