Our Fort Worth, TX based client is looking for a Financial Planner & Analyst to join their growing team.

Position Summary:   Compiles and analyzes financial information for an organization. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepares financial and business related analyses and research in such areas as financial and expense performance, rate of return, depreciation, working capital and investments.
Develops integrated revenue/expense analyses, projections, reports, and presentations.
Creates and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and ensures financial information has been recorded accurately.
Identifies trends and developments in competitive environments and presents findings to senior management.
Performs financial forecasting and reconciliation of internal accounts.
Manages projects.
Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions
Performs statistical analyses to determine trends, estimates, and significant changes
Analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize company financial position
Determines proper handling of financial transactions
Monitors compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures
Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports
Participates in the implementation of accounting systems and accounting control procedures
Makes recommendations regarding the accounting of reserves, assets, and expenditures
Conducts studies and submits recommendations for improving the organization’s accounting operation
Collects appropriate data and prepares federal governmental reports
Assists in the quarterly and annual external reviews/audits
Performs certain SOX controls to ensure company compliance
Assists in accounting for stock based compensation (FAS123R)
Tracks and reconciles the company’s common shares outstanding
Prepares a consolidated equity roll forward on a monthly basis

Required Skills or Tools:
Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plans and accomplish goals.
Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Works under minimal supervision.  Typically reports to a manager.
Proficient using complete Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) and PC skills
Proficient with email system; Microsoft Outlook preferred
Proficient using computer-based accounting system
Essbase, Oracle experience

Preferred Education/Experience:
Required:  Bachelors Degree
Preferred:  Accounting or Finance Degree
4-8 years experience in the field or in a related area

Physical Strain:
Must be able to work under pressure
Must be able to work with the team in developing improved work processes for the department
