Our Spring Branch, TX client is in need of a Human Resource Generalist.

Summary:

Will report to the VP of HR. Looking for a candidate with 3 – 5 years of directly related experience.

Responsibilities:

Respond to all payroll emails and manage field in company policy/procedures
Stay abreast of changing laws/requirements to ensure compliance (Federal and multi-state)
Management of company FMLA, unemployment and Workers Comp claims
Initiate STD/LTD/Unum claims
Update OSHA 300 information in HR system (All Pay)
Assist in the development of Policies & Procedures
Assist in HR form development and refinement
Manage E-verify, SS verification, Group 1 and Chase debit card, UNUM, background checks, and HR and Payroll systems
Assist with onboarding
Assist with performance evaluations
Management of Drug Screen Program
Audit HR paperwork – oversight and management of paperless employee files, and entering in new hires/changes in systems
Payroll and payroll discrepancies
Pre-employment checks
Benefit Administration including enrollments and terminations
Manage open enrollment
Respond to garnishments and employee verifications
Audit monthly benefits invoices
401(k) administration
Assist with EEOC/NLRB claims
Assist in preparation for HR lawsuits
