Our Downtown Houston, TX client is in need of an Human Resource Manager for a Direct Hire Opportunity.
Qualifications:
At least 10 years Human Resource Generalist experience, with at least 5 years in a law firm environment
A bachelor’s degree or combination of experience and education that demonstrates ability to perform the job
Must have knowledge of pertinent federal and state employment regulations
Ability to effectively communicate, present information, and respond to questions
Must be able to work with and maintain confidential information
Must have strong supervisory skills
Must have ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion in establishing and maintaining good working relationships with lawyers and staff
Must possess a high level of flexibility and adaptability to manage and support change in a fast paced environment
Responsibilities:
Recruitment of all non-exempt staff
Provide leadership and direction of local support staff
Ensure all personnel files are maintained adhering to firm-wide practices
Complete HR related paperwork on all employees (hiring, termination, etc.)
Provide employment verifications and employment references
Assist in the management of the benefit plan renewal process
Assist with personnel problem / staff conflict resolution
Ensure firm policies and procedures are being followed
Other duties as assigned
