Our Northwest Houston, TX client is looking to hire a Sales Support/Customer Service Representative on a contract to possible hire basis.

Job Summary:
The successful candidate will have a technical background, strong computer skills and excellent customer service skills. They are responsible for receiving and processing incoming sales and service requests to meet the needs of the customer. This person must have great communication skills, be dependable and a hard worker capable of multitasking and working as part of a team.

Job Duties:
Actively supports the company’s quality process to achieve total satisfaction of customer’s requirements.
Answers all incoming requests for products and services.
Processes all customer purchase orders.
Informs the customer of the order status and takes action to ensure orders are expedited to meet the customer’s needs.
Provides copies of literature to customers as needed. (i.e. Operation and maintenance manuals, spec sheets, etc.)
Works closely with the Business Unit Leader, Operations Manager, and regional sales managers to service new and existing accounts.
Prepares all customers quotations per customer specifications.
Logs customer complaints, notifies management of any lost sales and initiates resolution of the problem to prevent recurrence.
Processes product returns.
Maintains complete and current catalogs and price lists for the purpose of providing customers with information and assistance.
Processes credit memos when needed as outlined in the procedure manual.
Sees that all invoice filing is update and easily attainable.
Provides proof of deliveries as needed.

Job requirements:
Previous customer service experience required.
Customer Service experience in manufacturing strongly preferred.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Product knowledge of industrial safety products a plus.
Technical background would be preferred (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, CAD, etc)
Graduation from a technical program is preferred
Ability to read product diagrams/CAD drawings is a plus
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to read, write and speak English Required. Spanish would be preferred.
Ability to problem solve
Ability to calculate figures including discounts, commissions and volume.
Some experience with an ERP system, such as SAP
